4/19/21 Andrew Michaud, Kevin Dunne, and Maya Dunne, three entrepreneurs from Rochester, NY, who co-founded the e-commerce software platform, Valet Seller, have been selected for TechRochester’s Emerging Tech Company Award.
TechRochester is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2000 that focuses on connecting technical entrepreneurs with each other across the industry. Last Thursday, TechRochester held its 10th annual GREAT Awards. According to TechRochester, “The “GREAT” Awards or “Greater Rochester Excellence and Achievement in Technology” Awards recognizes and celebrates individuals and organizations in the Greater Rochester community who show an entrepreneurial spirit and are on the cutting edge of technological innovation and implementation.”
Nominations for the TechRochester GREAT awards were received in eight different categories and had a total of 24 finalists. The event took place on Thursday, April 15, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 6:15 PM, and Pauly Guglielmo, Owner of Craft Cannery and Guglielmo Sauce hosted the high energy event via Zoom, where judges decided a winner from the nominees in each category.
Valet Seller, an e-commerce platform designed to help small to medium-sized businesses sell online, and Poseidon Systems, a IoT solution for digitization of oils/fluids through industry-leading wear debris & oil quality monitoring were the finalists for the Emerging Tech Company Award.
TechRochester states that “The Emerging Tech Company Award acknowledges an emerging company demonstrating outstanding performance and growth potential. This company is one that has growing revenues and has the potential of becoming a leader in its market. This award will be judged on innovation/originality, and achieved growth and performance.”
